BEWARE of Ken Liverman and Rosex Medical in Spain

December 06, 2018 05:12

I was emailed by a Tim Sholed out of what he claimed to be Canada about a Philips Fetal Monitor that I had a wanted add listed here on Dotmed. When I asked about pricing, a person by the name of Elvis Moore contacted me back and gave me pricing, details, and payment options that included paypal. When I agreed, I got a Paypal invoice from Ken Liverman at Rosex Medical in Spain. I paid the invoice Nov 28th and requested tracking information. Ken said I would have tracking by Monday December 3rd when courier picked up the package from Rosex Medical in Spain. I never received any tracking or replies to any communications from any of the parties involved. Until today, Dec 5th, when Elvis Moore sent an email saying the order has been canceled. There was no explanation. It turns out that after much investigation, that all of the names and phone numbers are fraudulent, and Rosex Medical has no idea about the order. SO, be careful with any of those names, and if anything comes from Rosex Medical, call the company directly. They have a website with phone numbers. Ken Liverman, does have a PayPal address, but he is using it to scam people. I don't know if any involved are members of Dotmed.

This is also a growing scam on a few other well known outlets at the moment. A lot of times they will do this scam in reverse . Back when I was a fairly new seller on one of my other selling outlets, I hade a couple of scammers to try and get me on with this scam, only they did the scam in reverse (if you will?). They would over bid on my auctions by about 10 or 15 bucks, after they would win the auction, they would send me a message informing me that they had won my auction, and they would also say that they now needed the designated email address to my PayPal account, and according to them, this was in order for them to be able to send me a paid invoice which would have completed their purchase. The invoice looked identical to an actual PayPal Invoice. After they had sent me the "paid invoice" to my email address, they would then stat to try and hassle me about shipping the item very quickly, for it was very urgent, and bla bla bla. Even though I was a fairly new seller, I was still enough to familiarize myself the different types of potential scams to look out for wile first starting out. The red flag that I noticed right away was when they made me an offers that were more than what initial my asking price was for that item. Even though I knew that these guys were trying to scam me right from the get go. However, I still went ahead and acted as if I was completely oblivious to their deceit, because i wanted to see how they conducted these types of scams first hand. I will tell you from experience that these people do not play around, they treat them scams like they would a regular job. As a matter of a fact, this is one of the things that really puzzled me about the whole thing, because with that type of people skills, and focus that they displayed, an d not to mention the hard after it, go getter type of drive that they possessed. With those type of skills, They could have had a really nice carrier in just about any department of their choosing. You know, something that they could have been proud, instead of being out here trying to scam a married man, whom is a father of three that is out of work due to my wife developing a disorder that prevents her from being capable of taking care of our three little ones on her own (this particular disorder also causes her to have a very hard time with trusting people, so simply just hiring a sitter to come into the house and serve as a helping hand wile i was at work was out of the question as well. Woops, I've done made this thing bigger than it should have been lol, getting side tracked and all now lol. (This Reply Is So Post To Help You Guys, Not To Ramble On About All Of My Problems, We would be here until next year if I kept on with that lol. Anyways, I simply logged into my actual PayPal account and low and behold, there had been no payments made from any of these scam artists. The morel of the story is, Number One: "If It Sounds To Good To Be True, Then Its Probably A Scam", Especially When Dealing Online these days, and Number Two: always-always-always verify through your PayPal Account, or what ever you means of getting paid is, before you go sending valuable merchandise to who knows who, who knows where. You See, they were hoping and praying that I would get all worked up and excited, me being a new seller and all, and they wanted get me venerable, and rush me into hurrying up and shipping the item to them, so they could have take possession of the item, only before dropping off of the face of the earth or mars or where ever they were from lol. Never to be seen or heard from again. These types of scams are happening every day all day long. there have been hundreds attempted just in the time that it has taken me to type this reply out, Maybe even thousands. This short amount of time will have all been worth it, if i can just keep one person from being taken advantage of like you was Michael Brookes. I know personally that there isn't to many feelings worse than realizing that you have just been scammed out of your honest, and hard worked for money. Have a great day folks, and stay vigilant out there, and at the very least remember this two pieces of advice that i close with,
1. Always trust your gut,
And 2. Never- Ever just take a persons word for it anymore. Sadly We Live In A Different World Than That Now.!. ): :|: :(
