ABOUT Healthcare, a provider of SaaS-based technology for hospital operations, has acquired Edgility, a company that has developed an AI and analytics platform for enhancing real-time hospital management.
The St. Paul, Minnesota-based ABOUT Healthcare is integrating Edgility’s solution to develop a comprehensive patient flow model that aims to improve decision-making through predictive analytics and AI-driven support.
"Our acquisition of Edgility completes a powerful new end-to-end care orchestration solution that connects people, data, workflows, and systems to improve outcomes and enable better coordinated care," said Jonathan Shoemaker, CEO of ABOUT. "Health systems can now derive deep situational awareness and decision support across the patient progression at the individual and system levels, removing friction points and natural delays, ultimately improving coordination at each step of the patient journey."
Edgility’s technology is particularly focused on optimizing hospital capacity and expediting patient progression and discharge processes. The combined capabilities of ABOUT and Edgility aim to offer a unique platform that supports health system command centers by automating and streamlining the coordination of care across various departments.
The buy follows ABOUT’s earlier acquisitions of Acuity Link and Ensocare, underscoring its commitment to enhancing patient flow and management within healthcare systems.
