CEDAR PARK, Texas – June 9, 2023 – ETS-Lindgren is pleased to announce support of three unique events scheduled in conjunction with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society’s annual symposium in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at DeVos Place Convention Center from Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4. The three events commence with the ANSC C63 Workshop on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, immediately preceding the start of the symposium week. On Thursday evening, August 3, a Technical Tour is scheduled at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and E3 Compliance. On Friday morning, August 4, Intertek will hold a Technical Tour. ETS-Lindgren is a proud organizer of the ANSC C63 Workshop and sponsor of the Technical Tours. These three events are unique in that they will each offer hands-on learning opportunities with live demonstrations and exposure to real-world test setups and novel test environments.

The C63 Workshop on July 28 and 29 at GVSU and E3 Compliance is the first in-person ANSC C63 Workshop scheduled since the pandemic. “We are excited to hold this Workshop with active technical contributors to C63 standards development as our speakers,” said Janet O’Neil, Secretary, ANSC Subcommittee (SC) 1: Techniques and Development and Customer Relations Manager with ETS-Lindgren. “Andy Griffin with Cisco, Chair of SC 1, and Chair of the C63.4 Working Group, will present with my colleague Zhong Chen, Vice Chair of the C63 parent committee, key contributor to the C63.25 standard series, and Director, RF Engineering with ETS-Lindgren. Attendees will be able to ask questions directly to those developing these standards and learn about the nuances of C63.4 and C63.25,” she added.

The C63 Workshop technical program includes a review of the many updates to ANSI C63.4 and the ANSI C63.25 standards series as the EMC test site validation requirements migrate from C63.4 to the C63.25 standards series: C63.25.1, C63.25.2, and C63.25.3. Topics covered include:

Review of the latest draft edition of C63.4:20xx
Application of Time Domain (TD) SVSWR in C63.25.1 (1 GHz to 18 GHz)
Newly streamlined procedures for site validation measurements in C63.25.2 (30 MHz to 1 GHz)
Latest developments using Cylindrical Mode Filtered (CMF) SVSWR measurements for test site validation and antenna calibration (18 GHz to 40 GHz) to be included in C63.25.3.

A planned live demonstration of the TD SVSWR and CMF SVSWR measurement techniques at E3 Compliance is an interactive highlight of the workshop. View the ANSC C63 Workshop registration form and complete information here.
