The sample wheel consists of segments into which new samples can be loaded at any time. The segments are available in different colors and can accommodate 5, 7, and 10 ml tubes, sample cups and small sample containers in any desired sequence ensuring maximum versatility.
This eliminates the need for pre-sorting of sample tubes. The bi-directional sample carousel lets you place STAT samples anywhere at anytime – STAT samples are processed immediately with highest priority.

In common with other Dimension analyzer systems, the Dimension Xpand uses the proven Flex reagent cartridge system. Barcode labels ensure safe reagent management. Two different lot numbers for each method can be simultaneously held in reserve on the system. For rapid change of reagent, the Dimension Xpand System updates the parameters automatically. Reagents remain stable for a long period: 30 days on the system or 12 months in the refrigerator. The capacity of individual cartridges varies between 15 and 240 tests. Quality control is usually needed just once daily, and calibration for most methods is required only once every 3 months. Reagents can be automatically loaded and unloaded at anytime without interruption, even whilst the analyzer is performing tests. Just drop a new Flex reagent cartridge into the loader and the system takes care of it. Empty cartridges are taken off the system immediately by the loader.
